The fuel efficiency of a car engine is seen as an important and essential factor when buying a new car thanks to the high fuel prices. Most automakers have taken steps to offer more fuel-efficient cars that result in savings of more than 80 mpg.
However, there are millions of old cars that people use for their daily commuting by following these simple guidelines. They can also get maximum fuel efficiency and slow start of engine with the lowest carbon emissions from their car engines.
1. Keep the machine properly adjusted
It is very important to follow a machine maintenance schedule, i.e. B. Replace air filters, spark plugs and oxygen sensors and monitor them for on-board diagnostic faults in the engine management module. The most important thing is to change the engine oil according to the instructions in your car manual.
2. Fuel evaporation
Fuel evaporation is another parameter that requires to be addressed by tightly filling the fuel tank cap and, believe it or not, parking in the shade can increase your mileage by up to 10 percent.
3. Use the recommended engine oil
The most important factor in keeping your car's engine in economic condition is having the right kinematic motor oil, which is also called light motor oil. With recommended car engine oil levels, you can achieve 1-2 percent better mileage.
For example, using 10W-30 motor oil in an engine using 5W-30 can lower your fuel efficiency by 1-2 percent. Modern engines have such precise tolerances that very insignificant oils are often needed. Heavier oils such as 10W30 or 10W40 may not lubricate because they will not enter the main oil line and break quickly.
You should check the operating instructions for the recommended viscosity and only ask for this when changing the oil.
